VACA VACA was founded in 2014 by Carolin Zisgen with a lot of inspiration from South America

The label is her very personal dream and combines three things: passion for fashion, wanderlust and love for beautiful things from all over the world. That's why VACA VACA stands for stylish products with history, which we discover worldwide and bring to your home and to the shops.

In 2015, Caro discovered the magic of traditional Anotolian weaving patterns. The colorful fringed towels with their diverse styling and application options quickly became VACA VACA's core business. Cuddly, cuddly quality, radiant patterns and boho fringes make the hand-woven VACA VACA cotton towels so special.

The VACA VACA range now also includes a small HOME & LIVING collection with pillows, blankets and sauna towels.

Our logo, the eye, has several meanings. It stands for our view of beautiful things.

As an old oriental symbol of protection, it is said to ward off the evil eye. A beautiful symbolism for Caro, which is also tattooed on her left wrist.

Carolin Zisgen is the founder and managing director of Vaca Vaca. After studying business administration in Mainz and Freiburg and staying in Chile, she worked for many years as a marketing manager before founding Vaca Vaca in 2014 and commuting between Mainz-Budenheim and Istanbul. VACA VACA is now a small family business in which Caro and her parents also work. In addition to her assistant Nancy, Caro is supported by a network of digital nomads who help from Berlin, Hamburg, Istanbul and Waldkirch to beautify the world with colorful scarves.

ARE THE TOWELS ALSO AVAILABLE WITHOUT FRINGES?

No, because the fringes are characteristic of woven handwork. They were once the warp threads on the loom and each knot is tied by hand.

WHAT DO I DO IF I'M PULLING A STRING?

It can always happen that a thread is pulled or the cloth has small threads or irregularities. These are not mistakes but proof that real people simply work more “human” than machines. Threads can be carefully cut off or drawn in again. Due to the dense weave, no runs can occur.

CAN I WASH MY CLOTH?

All our towels and blankets are washable. That's a good thing, because our four-legged friends also love the cuddly towels ;-). We recommend using a wash bag. Normal wash cycle 30 or 40 degrees
